Cedar Park Fire Chief Chris Connealy presented the Cedar Park Fire Department Civilian Award to Sheri Friedman, Juvenile Clerk for Williamson County Justice of the Peace Edna Staudt, Precinct 2, on Monday, November 30. Freidman was recognized for saving a life.
Earlier in the month, a co-worker began choking on the food she was eating. She panicked, started running, and couldn’t breathe. Sheri stopped her and performed the Heimlich maneuver, ejecting the food and allowing the employee to breathe. Sheri was able to apply skills she had obtained in the Williamson County first aid/life saving training provided for each department.
