JOIN US ON JUNE 27TH FOR A VOTE CENTER OPEN HOUSE (see below for details)

Vote Centers are here!  The Texas Secretary of State approved Williamson County’s application to take part in their countywide polling place program. The program will eliminate county election precinct polling places and establish countywide polling places or vote centers so that voters can go to any voting location on Election Day. The program already has been implemented successfully in several counties including Travis County and Lubbock County. Approximately 65 percent of voters participate in early voting, which is all electronic and voters can vote at any location. Primary and Primary Runoff elections are excluded from the countywide polling location program under current law.

Williamson County successfully implemented the use of Vote Centers for May’s Joint General and Special Elections. The County now is seeking feedback from voters who utilized a Vote Center in the May election and input on Vote Center locations for the November 5th General Election.

OPEN HOUSE THURSDAY, JUNE 27, 2013 FROM 4PM TO 8PM
AT THE HISTORIC COURTHOUSE - 710 S MAIN ST, GEORGETOWN
